Our story
We've been in Piazza dei Cinquecento since 1918. Over a hundred years of history.
Back then it was a newsstand. Today it's also our Box Office. In between, four family generations have worked in that square — grandfathers, fathers, sons.
In between, Rome has changed, tourists have changed, tickets have changed (paper once, now PDFs and QR codes). But one thing has never changed: whoever arrives in Piazza dei Cinquecento finds someone who helps them. Even when they buy nothing from us.
For us, it's always been like this. The tourist asking where the Trevi Fountain is gets the same attention as the one buying a €200 tour. Maybe because our family, back in 1918, sold newspapers — and a newsstand vendor answers everyone.
Today Trips to Rome is a company with two partners, three offices in the city (Termini, Santa Maria Maggiore, Fiumicino T1), and a team of Romans. But the first counter at Termini is still there, right above the metro exit on the Via Cavour side. Open every day of the year.
If you're passing through Rome, come and see us. For a ticket, for a tour, or just to ask for directions.
