Roma Pass 48 Hours

Roma Pass 72 Hours, promoted by Roma Capitale and the Ministry of Cultural Heritage and Activities, in collaboration with ATAC, is the tourist-cultural card of the Capital that offers reductions and services to tourists to enjoy the beauty of Rome.

Within the territory of Rome Capital:

  • Free admission to the first museum or archaeological site or experience of your choice. The free admission includes any exhibition in the museum.
  • Reduced admission to all subsequent museums and/or archaeological sites and/or experiences within the 72 hours of validity. The reduction includes any exhibition in the museum.
  • Validity 72 hours from the first activation for access to museums, archaeological sites, experiences and local public transport.
  • Unlimited free access for 72 hours, from the first activation on public transport, to all means of transport included in the offer. Valid on all means of local public transport managed by Atac (buses, trams, A, B, B1 and C of the underground and Rome-Lido railways, Rome Flaminio Piazza del Popolo-Viterbo (up to Sacrofano) and Rome-Giardinetti), within the territory of Roma Capitale, in addition to the ATAC 720 bus line to and from Ciampino Airport with arrival/departure from the square of the Laurentina Metro B station (6th lane) and the 520 line to and from the Ciampino with arrival/departure from Metro A Subaugusta Stations (terminus - square in front of the stop) and Cinecittà. It must be completed in its entirety and is not transferable. The card must be shown at each request from the control staff, together with a valid identity document.

Not valid for:

  • The special tpl Atac connections, the Trenitalia FL (ex FR) regional railways, the special Cotral Rome Tiburtina/Termini-Fiumicino Airport connection, the Trenitalia "No stop" Rome Termini-Fiumicino Airport connection (Leonardo Express) and all from and to Fiumicino.

2 validate the ticket before the start of the journey

  • Write the requested personal data on the ticket.
  • To be valid, the travel document must always be validated at the start of the first journey and when transferring to the underground.
  • Le obliteratrici sono installate su: autobus, tram, filobus, treni delle ferrovie regionali Termini-Centocelle, Roma-Viterbo, nelle stazioni ai tornelli di accesso alla metropolitana, nelle stazioni delle ferrovie regionali Roma-Lido e Trenitalia.
  • The travel document must be kept for the entire duration of the journey and shown at the request of the control staff, possibly accompanied by an identity document.
  • The traveler found without entitlement or in possession of an irregular entitlement will incur an administrative fine ranging from 100 to 500 euros, in addition to the payment of the ticket price and procedural and postal costs, if applicable. The fine is reduced to 50 euros if paid within five days of the dispute or notification.

3 In case of malfunction of the validator

  • You can contact the ticket office or the conductor when boarding the Trenitalia vehicles;
  • On the means of public transport in Rome (bus, tram and underground), Cotral lines and regional railways, the ticket must instead be filled in by manually entering the date, time, station or vehicle number;

4 The fine is raised when the traveler

  • despite being in possession of the ticket, he did not validate it as expected;
  • presents the ticket or pass with visible signs of alteration and forgery;
  • use the ticket or pass beyond its validity period;
  • use an ordinary ticket or season ticket on special connections which instead require a specific travel document;
  • use a ticket or pass with a fare (or route) lower than the expected one;
  • presents a personalized pass that is not filled in correctly or is not accompanied by an identification document.
  • For information on the concessions for entry to State and Rome Capital Museums and Archaeological Sites, consult the current legislation.
  • Access to state museums and archaeological sites (including the Colosseum) is free for everyone on the first Sunday of the month (unless ministerial provisions otherwise. We recommend reading https://www.beniculturali.it/agevolazioni), in the absence of a separate exhibition itinerary and a separate ticket included in the spaces where exhibitions or temporary exhibitions are set up.
  • Museums are generally closed on Mondays, with the exception of: Colosseum (reservation required), Trajan's Market, Capitoline Museums, Ara Pacis Museum. Most museums are usually closed on December 25th, January 1st and May 1st. It is recommended to always check the closing times and days on the official website of the museum you intend to visit.
  • Admission is always free even without a card in 8 museums of the Rome Capital Museum System (Museo Carlo Bilotti in Villa Borghese, Museum of the Roman Republic and Garibaldi's memory, Museum of the Walls, Museum of Casal de' Pazzi, Museum of Ancient Sculpture Giovanni Barracco, Napoleonic Museum, Pietro Canonica Museum in Villa Borghese, Villa di Massenzio) and at the National Academy of San Luca.

Valid 72 hours from the activation date for access to the muses, sites or from the first use on public transport.

ELECTRONIC TICKET REDEMPTION

If the customer has an electronic ticket, he must present it (printed or on a device) at one of the Ticket collection points. The staff member will provide a valid printed ticket that can be used to board the bus.

REFUNDS

​Any refund request must be made in writing via our Contact Us page. However, Trips To Rome is not to be considered in violation of these terms and conditions, nor can it be held responsible for delays in performance or failure to perform any service, where such failures or delays are due to events, circumstances or reasons beyond from his control. Refund will be assessed based on the reason with 48 hours' notice.​
