ROME MOVE PASS 48H — THE PASS WE HAND TO YOU

You've arrived in Rome. We're here for you. Come and find us.

Rome is a big city and tourists get lost easily — wrong metro lines, fake taxis, vanishing vendors, queues nobody warned you about. The Rome Move Pass 48h is one pass we hand to you, at one of our three offices, with everything you need for two real days here. No chasing. No surprises. A team that walks you through how each thing works.

WHAT'S IN THE PASS

1. Colosseum Archaeological Park + 48 hours of public transport

Skip the queue to the Colosseum, Roman Forum and Palatine. The Colosseum is the centrepiece of this pass: with your ticket you enter not just the Colosseum but the whole Archaeological Park — Roman Forum and Palatine included. The queue to the Colosseum stretches all the way to the Forum in high season, and sometimes you don't get in at all. With Rome Move Pass 48h you have a guaranteed entry time and a dedicated lane: you walk past the people who came without booking.

The 48 hours of public transport cover metro A, B, C, all buses and trams, starting from the first time you stamp it. Rome's metro isn't the London Tube: when you pick up the pass we'll show you how to move best for your itinerary.

2. Tiber · 24-hour boat tour

Rome from the river. Most tourists don't know about it. The ones who try it say it's one of the highlights of their trip. The river runs through the entire historic centre but almost nobody thinks there are boats on it. A 24-hour hop-on hop-off: get on and off as you like at the main stops (Castel Sant'Angelo, Tiber Island, Trastevere). You see Rome from an angle the average tourist will never see.

No booking needed, just show the voucher at the dock. Works in the rain too (the boats have covered decks).

3. Open-top sightseeing bus · 2 days · 8-language audio guide

A one-day sightseeing bus costs almost as much as a two-day, and on foot alone you won't see Rome in 48 hours. That's why the pass includes the full 2-day version.

The terminal is Termini, the same Piazza dei Cinquecento where we have our Box Office. It's strategically perfect: central station, sightseeing bus terminal, and our shop — all in one place. From Termini the route covers Vatican, Piazza Venezia, Colosseum, Trastevere, Villa Borghese, and back.

Onboard audio guide in 8 languages (Italian, English, French, German, Spanish, Portuguese, Russian, Chinese). Get on and off whenever you want at any of the eight stops.

4. Fiumicino airport transfer, both ways · shuttle bus

We get you from the airport and back, on a shared shuttle bus. No fake taxis, no negotiations, no "€100 for downtown".

You land at Fiumicino after a long flight. You know what's waiting outside arrivals: the taxi queue, someone offering a "direct ride" at inflated prices, conflicting signs about the train. All this at ten in the evening, with a suitcase and maybe with kids.

With Rome Move Pass 48h you walk out of the plane, reach the shuttle stop, and in around 50 minutes you're in central Rome. Same thing on the way back: we pick you up at an agreed time and get you to the airport with time to spare. Fixed price, set in advance, already in the pass.

5. Italian data SIM, 100GB

A real Italian SIM, 100GB of data and 30 days valid. Not an unstable digital voucher, not €10/day roaming.

You land in Rome and your phone goes into roaming. Your home carrier wants €10/day for every gigabyte you use, and hotel wifi only half works. Google Maps won't help if you're offline.

With Rome Move Pass 48h we give you a real Italian SIM, the same carrier Romans use — not one of those international virtual SIMs. We test it in your phone before you leave the office: if it doesn't work, we give you another one on the spot. You get 100 GB and 30 days of validity, real call minutes to major international prefixes (USA, UK, Germany, France, Spain): GPS, WhatsApp, Maps, videos, everything works like at home.

And when the pass is over? The SIM is yours. Take it home, give it to a friend coming to Italy, or keep it as backup.

6. A team at your service every day

Real people, every day, in three offices in Rome. Come find us when you need us.

Rome is a city with many variables: traffic changes hour by hour, on some days the metro gets congested, public transport strikes happen, protests or sudden rain too. Trivial things for a Roman, but in 48 hours a tourist has no time to plan around them.

What we can do for you in these situations:

  • Suggest how to time your visits — when Rome gets congested and when it empties out
  • What to do if it rains (covered alternatives, resequenced visits)
  • Save your holiday in case of a strike or protest
  • Answer you in 4 languages, in three offices across the city, every day

THE RULE OTHERS WON'T TELL YOU

We sell it as 48 hours. Played right, it's 3 or 4 days.

Every Rome tourist pass is sold as "48 hours" or "72 hours". Very few tourists actually extract the real value. The reason? Online vendors bet on you not using it: every unused service is pure margin for them.

We tell you upfront. Your pass is 48 hours, but the items inside aren't meant to be activated all at once. Played in the right order, they cover 3 to 4 real days in Rome.

  • Day 1: arrive and explore. Activate the 48h public transport ticket.
  • Day 2: skip-the-line entry at Colosseum at your booked time slot. In the afternoon, activate the 48h Hop-on Hop-off.
  • Day 3: public transport expired, but the Hop-on Hop-off still has nearly another full day.
  • Day 4 morning: if Hop-on Hop-off activated mid-afternoon on day 2, still valid.

Result: a pass sold as 48 hours that, played right, covers up to 4 days of real tourism. Boat, airport transfer and data SIM are separate and work for the entire stay.

We explain it in detail when you pick up the pass at one of our offices. A map, a coffee, and 5 minutes to plan your days like a Roman.

Frequently asked questions about our combo packages.

What's in a package?

A single voucher that bundles multiple services: public transport, entries to iconic sites, optionally guided experiences. Specific details are in the package description.

Can I choose the dates of individual services?

Yes. When you pick up the package at our Termini Box Office we hand over the individual vouchers: each has its own validity window (e.g. 48h from first use for transport tickets).

Is it worth it compared to buying separately?

Yes. Combo packages have a price designed to be usually below the sum of individual services. Plus you save time: 1 voucher instead of 5-6.

Do I have to come to the Box Office to pick up?

Yes, for most packages pickup at Termini Box Office is the fastest way to get all physical materials (maps, paper tickets). If you don't pass through Termini, we can arrange alternative delivery: message us first.

What if I don't use all the services in the package?

Each service has its own expiration. Services unused within the validity window are non-refundable (industry standard). To avoid waste: come pick up as soon as you arrive and plan dates immediately.
